Marcus Lemonis
American businessman and Investor
Marcus Lemonis is a Lebanese-born American businessman, investor, and television personality, widely recognized as the CEO and chairman of Camping World and Good Sam Enterprises. Born in Beirut during the Lebanese Civil War and adopted by a family in Miami, Florida, he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Marquette University. Lemonis began his career in the automotive sector, working for his grandfather’s Chevrolet dealership, before transitioning to the recreational vehicle (RV) industry after a conversation with family friend Lee Iacocca inspired him to create a national RV chain. Through a series of successful mergers and acquisitions, he built Camping World into the nation’s largest retailer of RVs, parts, and services, eventually leading the company through a highly successful public offering.
Beyond his massive footprint in the retail and outdoor lifestyle sectors, Lemonis achieved widespread celebrity status as the host of CNBC’s hit reality television series The Profit. On the show, he used his unique “Three Ps” principle—People, Process, and Product—to invest his own money into struggling small businesses, turning them around through tough love and structural restructuring. His television portfolio expanded further with shows like The Partner and HGTV’s The Renovator. A dedicated philanthropist, he established the Lemon-Aid Foundation to support small businesses and marginalized communities, and he remains a vocal advocate for corporate social responsibility, entrepreneurship education, and direct civic engagement.
